7th Annual Brooklyn Zombie Crawl on Sunday, June 2nd!

The zombie crawl returns to the Williamsburg area on Sunday, June 2nd for a full day and night of our usual zombie apocalypse! And we’ve got the dark cabaret musical styling of special guest Aurelio Voltaire (here some of his music HERE) at the afterparty! 5/30 UPDATES: Our official DJ for the afterparty is DJ Legend Tim No 37! Also added to the bill is skate/punk solo artist Mark ToxicLife at the Knitting Factory opening party as well as the unique “Hood Metal” musical stylings of Xombie at the after party along with flesh pulls from DisGraCeLand Hook Squad!! Alsop Open Bar at the afterparty from Pabst Blue Ribbon and Sailor Jerry at 9pm and crazy drink specials day and all night!

We’re starting at 3pm at Knitting Factory Brooklyn (361 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11211) with our usual FREE zombie meet-up! It’s an all age event (you must be 21+ to enter the Bar room) the bar and for 2 and 1/2 hours, zombies are invited to hang out while our zombie technicians will be providing makeup for civilians who wish to become undead for a small fee (starting at $5). We’ll have drink specials from Pabst Blue Ribbon and Sailor Jerry all afternoon and a photo booth from Snap Yourself NYC!

At 5:30pm, Zombies will roam down Bedford Ave to McCarron Park for our annual photo opportunity as well as some zombie fun and games. At 6:45pm we’ll be making a pit stop for some zombie refueling (Location TBA).
Then at 8pm we’ll head to Public Assembly (70 North 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211) for the NYC Zombie Crawl after party ($13 if you are a zombie, $15 for civilians, 21 + only) featuring tons of bloody good fun including drink specials from Pabst and Sailor Jerry as well as;

– Live musical performances from Skeletal Life, Bikini Carwash & Xombie
A special musical performance by AURELIO VOLTAIRE, bringing you a mix of ghoulish songs, dirty ditties and satirical ballads about murder, zombies, religion and pop-culture!
RIGOR MORTIS REVUE – Horror burlesque at it’s dead sexiest!
– Sideshow performances from DisGraCeLand Family Freakshow!
– Strip for Pain: The WORLD’s Most Dangerous Game Show at Midnight!
– Late night HOT ZOMBIE CONTEST!

Springtime Crawl – Sunday, May 29th!

Check out the feature on CBS NY that came out today! This afternoon we crawl! We’ll have a Pabst Blue Ribbon open bar from 5-6pm before the crawl and the all-girls Misfits cover band GHOULS NIGHT OUT will be performing at the afterparty for the 4th Annual Springtime Zombie Crawl! We’ll also have a zombie photo booth and a Hot Zombie contest as well!!

The Punk Rock Holocaust shoot tomorrow marks the beginning of the PRH Filmmaker contest – upload any video you shoot at the crawl on YouTube with the tag”NYCPRH2011″ and you will be entered automatically! In the weeks following the crawl, you can vote for your favorite submissions on www.punkrockholocaust.com!

On Sunday, May 29th we’ll begin 4pm at Knitting Factory Brooklyn (361 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11211) with our usual FREE zombie meetup! For 2 hours, zombies of all ages are invited to hang out while our zombie technicians will be providing makeup for civilians who wish to become undead! Zombies over 21+ can drink with some great drink specials including $1 off all beers and $2 off all liquor! Shot and Bloody Mary specials as well as more surprises!

At 6pm, we will take our annual trek down Bedford Avenue! Only this time, we’ll be shooting a scene for Punk Rock Holocaust 3 while we crawl, a zombie attack on the hipsters of Brooklyn! We’re looking for some victims to be eaten by the zombie masses and everyone is invited to help shoot the scene as well. If you have a camera bring it, or just use your smart phone! We’ll be awarding prizes for the best footage! You can upload your videos to YouTube with the tag “NYZPRH2011” and you’re entered! It’s that easy! Zombies will make their way down Bedford to McCarron Park where we’ll have some zombie fun and games at about 6:45 including a human tug-o-war with Disgraceland Hook Squad (not for the weak of heart) and more! Then we’ll make our way back down Bedford, stopping along the way here and there and heading to Public Assembly (70 North 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211) at 8:30pm for;

The Latest: June 3rd

Thanks to all the undead who attended the May 30th events in Brooklyn! There were so many sick looking ghouls and we had a bloody good time! You can see some photos on Time Out NY, and don’t forget to add your photos to the Facebook group!

So many pictures and video were taken, we’ll have a wrap up very soon…in the meantime we’ve added a number of images to our slideshow from the Facebook group – thanks to Autumn Eget, Jason Tamvakis, Ron ‘Spidey’ Gejon, Jackie Schaefer, Jennifer Barger, Kasia Kowalczyk, Lilly Frances, Michele Witchipoo, Nicole Goldberg, Sam Moon Rafferty, Tree Lanka and more!

NYC Zombie Crawl May 30th 2010 – Brooklyn

Greetings Boils and Ghouls!

Pabst Blue Ribbon is now sponsoring the Zombie Crawl! There will be FREE PBR at the Knitting Factory for the first hour of the show, and PBR’s are $2 all night at the Knitting Factory!

TOMORROW – Sunday May 30th – all of the zombie events are ALL AGES, including the afterparty at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn (Buy tickets NOW)! We’ve got some more great announcements including;
– The afterparty will feature a live performance by legendary NYC punk-rockers THE UNDEAD with Bobby Steele (ex-Misfits)!
Troma Entertainment will be in the house with The Toxic Avenger as well as DVD prizes for the costume contest winners! We’ll also be screening some Troma clips at the afterparty!!

This is a first for the NYC Zombie Crawl that the whole event is all ages…and the best part is there will still be booze if you are over 21!  Before the afterparty there is a free meet and greet with ‘Play Dead‘ author Ryan Brown as well as the cast and crew of ‘Play Dead: The Movie“, and you can even buy copies of his book and have him sign it!

HERE IS THE MAP (We may deviate slightly from this but this is the general routing)

It all starts in Brooklyn at 3pm at The Charleston
174 Bedford Ave (Between N 7th & N 8th) Brooklyn, NY 11211 – The first stop and the crawl event FREE and is ALL AGES! Zombies can eat pizza and drink booze (if you’re over 21+) while civilians are zombified for two hours!

We’ll have our zombie technicians on hand to zombify the crowd but we also encourage civilians to come zombified as well as we will be doing a zombie costume contest! We also encourage a sports/varsity theme in honor of Play Dead, so bring out your best undead jocks, cheerleaders and football players! The crawl will start about 5:00pm and go into the evening before ending at the official after party at 7:00pm!

At 5:00pm, the zombies will mobilize up Bedford Ave and head to:
McCarren Park – N 12th and Bedford – Zombie Football Game – Blood Fights, Human Tug O War with Disgraceland Hook Squad and more madness! Win prizes including DVD’s from Backseat Conceptions!

At 6:30pm, the zombies will mobilize again and head back down Bedford avenue for grand zombie parade to the final stop:

7:00pm – Zombie Dance Party A Go-Go with Play Dead, Ryan Brown and the Raspberry Brothers
Knitting Factory Brooklyn – 361 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11211
– Free book signing and meet and greet from 7-8pm with author Ryan Brown and the Cast and Crew of Play Dead: The Movie
– $10 after 8pm for the Zombie Dance Party A Go-Go which includes:

PLAY DEAD premiere screening of the Redband trailer and some selected scenes

– The Raspberry Brothers, a team of NYC comedians who will mock the hell out of campy old zombie flicks (MST3k stylee), including clips from Zombie (Lucio Fulci, 1979) and the Crazies (George Romero, 1973) and more!
– Zombie Dance Party with DJ Jeremy Bastard (Trash, NC-17) with zombie go-go dancers, a hot zombie contest, live music and more madness to be announced!
The zombies from THRILL THE WORLD, the Michael Jackson’s Thriller-dance-around-the-world-on-the-same-day-at-same-time event who will be coming out to teach people the thriller dance and we’ll be doing a dance and sing-along! We’ll be doing sing-alongs to other classic Monster hits too!
