Greetings Ghouls!
Halloween is almost upon us and we’ve got tons of bloody action in NYC! Thanks to all the zombies who crawled with us on the main event on October 24th, It was a bloody good time and we raised well over 100 pounds of food for the NYC Food Bank! Special thanks to all our Zombie FX artists!

We’re sponsoring zombie parties on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, check the info below! We’ve also been invited to the CBS Early Show to join in their Halloween Festivities on-air with NYC Zombie Crawl on Friday and Sat the 29th and 30th, 7am to 9am at 59th Street and 5th Avenue. Any interested zombies can RSVP at BRGuest@cbsnews.com or call 212-975-2515. Include your name, the # of people you will be bringing, and the day you would like to attend. You should come in full costume, there is a costume contest and you can win prizes and be on TV!

Halloween NYC Zombie Crawl – Sunday, October 24th!

Greetings Boils and Ghouls!
It’s that time of year again, when zombies rise from the grave in search of booze, brains and a bloody good time! We have a lot of bloodshed happening all over New York to celebrate!
Our main crawl event on Sunday, October 24th in Manhattan! We’ll be starting in the Union Square area at 5pm at the Beauty Bar (231 E 14th St in Manhattan btwn 2nd and 3rd Ave). You must be 21+ to get into the Beauty Bar but all ages zombies are invited to crawl with us through the streets if they’d like.
At 7pm, the zombies will depart from the Beauty Bar and be unleashed on Manhattan with a photo oppertunity in Union Square and a stop in the Union Square Whole Foods for a canned food drive for the homeless!
It all ends at 10pm at the 5th Annual Zombie Beauty Pageant with Drop Dead Gorgeous at the Beauty Bar, Hosted by Michael T (Rated X) and yours truly, Doug Sakmann, Zombie Ringleader of the NYC Zombie Crawl – www.beautybar.com (Bring your ID, the afterparty is a 21+ event)
***Please come as a member of the undead, we will have very limited makeup stations at this crawl. You are invited to bring your own makeup and help zombify yourself and others if you’d like.

Many thanks to all the zombies who came out to Coney Island in support of our zombie Tim “Gravy” Brown at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest! Only the toughest zombies made it through the scorching heat and tens of thousands of people who came to see the show to the afterparty at Ruby’s!
A little bit of background on Gravy; he holds the official world record for eating Potato Wedges; 3.74 lbs in 8 minutes on October 18, 2007! He is also ranked the #1 most disgusting competitive eater in the world!

NY Zombies invade Coney Island July 4th!

Come celebrate July 4th in style with the NYC Zombie Crawl at the Annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating contest on Coney Island! This is a zombie meet-up event in support of our undead hotdog champion, Gravy Brown! There will be no make-up artists so zombies should come in their undead best! The event will be televised on ESPN so everyone should bring signs rooting on Gravy Brown and the NYC Zombie Crawl! When you get to Coney Island, look for the large group of zombies led by me, your zombie ringleader Doug Sakmann! We’ll be organizing the mob no later than 11am.
Ripping apart flesh and ripping apart food go hand in hand. Come show your support at the craziest NYC Zombie Crawl meet up yet. It all happens on Coney Island at Surf and Stillwell at high noon on July 4th, the official home of Nathans Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. This year 10th ranked competitive eater Gravy Brown will be eating his way to glory on stage and on ESPN in full zombie costume! Show up early and show your zombie support and you could be part of the broadcast!
Where: Surf and Stillwell, Brooklyn NY – Coney Island
When: July 4th- High Noon
This is a huge event with tens of thousands of people to get up front and show your support try and get their early. People start filtering in as early as 9AM.
Tell all your friends – INVITE THEM ON FACEBOOK!
There will be a Zombie after party and competitive eater meet-up at Ruby’s on the boardwalk (1213 Boardwalk West) after the event too!
Gravy will be up against his fierce rival Erik the Red so he needs all the zombie support! More info here!
NYC Zombie Crawl May 30th 2010 – Brooklyn

Greetings Boils and Ghouls!
Pabst Blue Ribbon is now sponsoring the Zombie Crawl! There will be FREE PBR at the Knitting Factory for the first hour of the show, and PBR’s are $2 all night at the Knitting Factory!
TOMORROW – Sunday May 30th – all of the zombie events are ALL AGES, including the afterparty at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn (Buy tickets NOW)! We’ve got some more great announcements including;
- The afterparty will feature a live performance by legendary NYC punk-rockers THE UNDEAD with Bobby Steele (ex-Misfits)!
- Troma Entertainment will be in the house with The Toxic Avenger as well as DVD prizes for the costume contest winners! We’ll also be screening some Troma clips at the afterparty!!
This is a first for the NYC Zombie Crawl that the whole event is all ages…and the best part is there will still be booze if you are over 21! Before the afterparty there is a free meet and greet with ‘Play Dead‘ author Ryan Brown as well as the cast and crew of ‘Play Dead: The Movie“, and you can even buy copies of his book and have him sign it!
HERE IS THE MAP (We may deviate slightly from this but this is the general routing)

It all starts in Brooklyn at 3pm at The Charleston
174 Bedford Ave (Between N 7th & N 8th) Brooklyn, NY 11211 – The first stop and the crawl event FREE and is ALL AGES! Zombies can eat pizza and drink booze (if you’re over 21+) while civilians are zombified for two hours!
We’ll have our zombie technicians on hand to zombify the crowd but we also encourage civilians to come zombified as well as we will be doing a zombie costume contest! We also encourage a sports/varsity theme in honor of Play Dead, so bring out your best undead jocks, cheerleaders and football players! The crawl will start about 5:00pm and go into the evening before ending at the official after party at 7:00pm!
At 5:00pm, the zombies will mobilize up Bedford Ave and head to:
McCarren Park – N 12th and Bedford – Zombie Football Game – Blood Fights, Human Tug O War with Disgraceland Hook Squad and more madness! Win prizes including DVD’s from Backseat Conceptions!
At 6:30pm, the zombies will mobilize again and head back down Bedford avenue for grand zombie parade to the final stop:
7:00pm – Zombie Dance Party A Go-Go with Play Dead, Ryan Brown and the Raspberry Brothers
Knitting Factory Brooklyn – 361 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11211
- Free book signing and meet and greet from 7-8pm with author Ryan Brown and the Cast and Crew of Play Dead: The Movie
- $10 after 8pm for the Zombie Dance Party A Go-Go which includes:
- PLAY DEAD premiere screening of the Redband trailer and some selected scenes
- The Raspberry Brothers, a team of NYC comedians who will mock the hell out of campy old zombie flicks (MST3k stylee), including clips from Zombie (Lucio Fulci, 1979) and the Crazies (George Romero, 1973) and more!
- Zombie Dance Party with DJ Jeremy Bastard (Trash, NC-17) with zombie go-go dancers, a hot zombie contest, live music and more madness to be announced!
The zombies from THRILL THE WORLD, the Michael Jackson’s Thriller-dance-around-the-world-on-the-same-day-at-same-time event who will be coming out to teach people the thriller dance and we’ll be doing a dance and sing-along! We’ll be doing sing-alongs to other classic Monster hits too!
