October 16th Wrap – More October Events!

So another successful NYC Zombie Crawl has been completed, we had over 1000 zombies at the peak of the evening! Thanks for all those who crawled and bled with us as well as the Beauty Bar NYC, Continental, Arlene’s Grocery as well Angelo Moore, God’s Green Earth and of course Nassau Chainsaw DisGraCeLand Demolition Committee! Those who attended the event know that our dear friend and brother Spliff, the father of DisGraCeLand passed away the morning of the crawl after a year and 3 months of fighting his way back from a horrible car accident. Spliff has been with the NYC Zombie Crawl from the very beginning and DisGraCeLand has been a part of every event we’ve done. The news devastated everyone but we pulled through and performed for Spliff. All of the raffle proceeds and a portion of the profits and bar tabs will be going towards his funeral fund which is this Saturday. You can donate to the cause and help his family at the paypal link at this website.

Also Thrill the World NYC, part of the international dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller day  is taking place at 10am and 10pm on Oct 29th!  Go to the site for details and come to the SMack afterparty, which goes till at least 4am!
Oct 31st – NYC Halloween Parade with Jagermeister Zombie Float! 7pm

And don’t think we forgot about the Zombie Beauty Pageant! We’ll be hosting the 4th annual event at the Beauty Bar NYC December 18th so stay tuned!

Also, remember that the all new Blood Manor is in a new location in NYC (163 Varick Street) and DisGraCeLand Hook Squad will be performing every Thurs-Sunday in October and into November!

Dorney Park Invaded, World Record Won!!

Much love and blood to all our zombies who came out to Dorney Park and helped us set a NEW Guinness world record! 330 Zombies who are the most costumed riders on an amusement ride!! We had over 1500 zombies in the park! We just got a cool new video from the NYC Zombie Crawl event through Times Square in 2009 for the Sony Pictures movie ‘Zombieland’! Shot and edited by Joe Cap, check it out here!!

Springtime Crawl – Sunday, May 29th!

Check out the feature on CBS NY that came out today! This afternoon we crawl! We’ll have a Pabst Blue Ribbon open bar from 5-6pm before the crawl and the all-girls Misfits cover band GHOULS NIGHT OUT will be performing at the afterparty for the 4th Annual Springtime Zombie Crawl! We’ll also have a zombie photo booth and a Hot Zombie contest as well!!

The Punk Rock Holocaust shoot tomorrow marks the beginning of the PRH Filmmaker contest – upload any video you shoot at the crawl on YouTube with the tag”NYCPRH2011″ and you will be entered automatically! In the weeks following the crawl, you can vote for your favorite submissions on www.punkrockholocaust.com!

On Sunday, May 29th we’ll begin 4pm at Knitting Factory Brooklyn (361 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11211) with our usual FREE zombie meetup! For 2 hours, zombies of all ages are invited to hang out while our zombie technicians will be providing makeup for civilians who wish to become undead! Zombies over 21+ can drink with some great drink specials including $1 off all beers and $2 off all liquor! Shot and Bloody Mary specials as well as more surprises!

At 6pm, we will take our annual trek down Bedford Avenue! Only this time, we’ll be shooting a scene for Punk Rock Holocaust 3 while we crawl, a zombie attack on the hipsters of Brooklyn! We’re looking for some victims to be eaten by the zombie masses and everyone is invited to help shoot the scene as well. If you have a camera bring it, or just use your smart phone! We’ll be awarding prizes for the best footage! You can upload your videos to YouTube with the tag “NYZPRH2011″ and you’re entered! It’s that easy! Email info@nyczombiecrawl.com with the subject PRH3 Shoot to get more info and sign up to be involved!

Zombies will make their way down Bedford to McCarron Park where we’ll have some zombie fun and games at about 6:45 including a human tug-o-war with Disgraceland Hook Squad (not for the weak of heart) and more! Then we’ll make our way back down Bedford, stopping along the way here and there and heading to Public Assembly (70 North 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211) at 8:30pm for;
